Policies
  • Pet is fit, healthy and current on rabies vaccine. Proof of rabies vaccine required at first appointment.

  • Any grooming which takes place on an elderly pet or a pet with health problems will be groomed at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health and/or skin problems for which Pet Pals Grooming Salon cannot be held liable. 

  • Dematting/Detangling of matted hair can be dangerous and painful to your pet. If your pet is found to be matted, pelted, or severely tangled they will be closely shaved and you may incur an additional fee. Shaving close may expose pre-existing conditions for which Pet Pals is not responsible. 

  • If a pet becomes aggressive, very irritable or difficult to handle when approached for grooming or during grooming, or the pet cannot be safely approached, contained, or groomed without causing undue stress for the pet, and possible injury to the groomer, the groom will be stopped. Charges for services rendered will be the responsibility of the owner, to be paid in full by the end of the appointment. 

  • In the event of any injury or health concern, Pet Pals is authorized to seek any veterinary treatment. Pet Pals will not be held liable for veterinary costs. 

  • Photographs taken of your pet during the grooming appointment may be published to the Pet Pals Grooming Salon website, Facebook page, or used in education and advertising materials, identified only by the pets name. 

  • Payment for services are due at time of groom appointment. We accept cash, check and credit card.

  • Stopped payments and insufficient funds will result in an additional $35.00 fee. 

  • All pets should be leashed or kenneled when traveling between home and Salon. 

  • All services are by appointment only. 

  • Any appointments outside of regular service area will incur additional charges. Travel fee $10-20.

  • There may be a charge for missed appointments, appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, and time spent corralling your pet. A $20 deposit is required to hold first appointment.

  • We do not groom sedated pets and will not force a pet through the grooming process.  Pets that we cannot handle safely or pets needing sedation for any of the process will be referred to a veterinarian for grooming.

  • In the event of another pandemic or a return of Covid 19 protocols, Pet Pals reserves the right to require masks and/or porch drop off and pick up.
